Mary Moquin Works

Mary Moquin grew up on a rural farm in Middleboro, Massachusetts surrounded by barns and acres of forests. She began painting at an early age and has earned a BA in printmaking and a MFA in Painting.

Moquin lives in a remote cottage in the dunes of the Cape and has been a frequent visitor of the Vineyard for the past 40 years. She is inspired by the work of Wolf Kahn, Milton Avery, and Georgia Morandi. As with these artists natural light, the landscape, and unique structures of the shore are the main subject for her work.

Moquin is a membert of the "Oil Painters of America" and the "Cape Code Art Associate". Se is the winner of juried shows and is exhibited in many galleries and museums across New England.
